The San Mateo Foster City Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization founded in 1989 to raise funds to ensure that every student in the San Mateo-Foster City School District (SMFCSD) receives the best opportunities to reach their full potential. The Board of Directors are comprised of business professionals, educators, parents and community members. There are currently five ex-officio members and an Advisory Board of community leaders to guide and assist the Board.

Watch how SMFCEF funding brings incredible STEM College and Career Exploration opportunities to our middle school students.

This is just one example of the many enriching programs your donations make possible across all our schools! Our STEM investments, in partnership with the Gilead Foundation, include Lego Labs in all elementary schools, Makerspace Carts, College & Career Exploration Elective in all middle schools, Career Discovery Labs for 4–5th graders, and Project Career Map for 5th–8th graders — all focused on providing hands-on experiences to help students discover their unique interests, talents, and future career paths.
