3rd Grade - Ms. Virda Mah
Welcome to Room 6
I was born and raised in the Bay Area , spending my childhood in North Beach and Chinatown.
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Southern California, Certificate of Management through the Entrepreneurial program at the University of California Los Angeles and Masters of Education at Notre Dame de Namur University.
I have traveled to Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, London, Germany, Italy and France. I enjoy visiting different countries, learning about their culture and eating local foods.
I paddled Hawaiian style outrigger canoe for 12 years and coached for one, and have competed in sprint races (500 - 2000 meters) in locations from Sacramento to Monterey, in addition to long distance races - The Queen Lili’uokalani Canoe Race (18 miles) in Kailua town on the Kona Coast of Hawaii Island (The Big Island) and the Catalina Crossing - Newport Beach to Catalina Island (26 miles).
When I am not with my family, friends or at the gym, I spend my time on the water, recreationally paddling outrigger canoe or stand up paddleboard.
