2nd Grade - Ms. Kelly Christianson
Welcome to room 10!
About the teacher...
My name is Kelly Christianson, and this will be my eighth year teaching elementary school, and my first year at Beresford Elementary!
I was born and raised in San Diego. I first moved up to Northern California to attend Sonoma State University in 2003. I received my B.A. in Communications from SSU in 2007. I received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master of Education Degree from UCSD in 2009. My love for traveling then took me to Costa Rica, where I lived and taught for 3 years at an American School. I then taught for 4 years in Temecula, CA . I have spent most of my teaching career teaching kindergarten, fourth grade and fifth grade. I am very excited to be teaching second grade this year. Beresford is an awesome school and a very pawsitive place to be!
I have a 1 year old shih tzu puppy named Louie. I am an animal lover (my favorites are dolphins and elephants) and I enjoy swimming, hiking, nature and new adventures. My family lives all across the country and internationally, so I am always travelling to visit them. I especially love visiting my niece and nephew in North Carolina and my goddaughter and godson in San Diego. I am passionate about the process of teaching and learning. I have loved getting to know all my second grade students in Room 10. We are going to have a great year!
