Our world in harmony.

Second grade this year is focusing on interdependence and how we all work together to create a world that's in harmony.

All About Ms. Johnstone

Welcome to Room 10!  This is my 2nd year teaching second grade, 4th year teaching at Beresford, and 5th year teaching overall.  I've taught first grade, a first/second grade combination class, and now I am loving second grade.  I earned my Bachelors degree from UCLA in English, and completed my teaching credential at San Jose State University.

At Beresford, I've found a home and community.  I've been part of the PTA as the Teacher Liasion, and have been on the HET team for the past few years.  I try to keep myself busy by fulfilling many different roles at school.  I like to challenge myself to try new things as it keeps my mind active and engaged.

Outside of school (yes, teachers do have lives outside of school), I enjoy being active in my church community and serving the youth there.  I love working at summer camps in my free time.  I also really enjoy spending time with my family, especially my wonderful niece.  Otherwise, I love to read, bake and cook, do crafts, and spend time outside.

Room 10's Wish List

We tend to have everything we need, but if you ever find yourself wanting to get something for Room 10, we always appreciate more pencils, gluesticks, and Kleenex.  I also have an Amazon wish list that I update from time to time with things that would be nice to have.  Occasionally, I have projects on Donors Choose: check out my latest one - Growing Readers!  Thank you!
